This one is a no brainer guys. More and more states are begining to put the smack down on travel MLM, YTB (Your Travel Business). In my humble opinion, it's only a matter of time before YTB is shut down. The only way they can continue opperating is if they fix their compensation plan, and if they do that, the distributor force isn't going to be very happy.
Quick tip: if a company pays you commissions on memberships or distributor kits, STAY AWAY.
For those of you affiliated with YTB reading this - I'm sorry. One way or the other, you're going to get burned. There are better companies out there. After the smoke clears, if you want to get back in the game, call me. I can help.

In my humble opinion dude, you don't know jack about YTB. Amazing to me the people that will post opinions based soley on what they have read. They don't know the people, the founders, nor the foundation a company is built on. YTB is the largest travel mlm and therefore are setting the pace for the industry while the little guys get to sit back and live vicariously.
YTB is going through the same challenges as AL Williams, Amway, Excel, and many many others. Only the strong survive and YTB is VERY strong.
I'm sorry, Firemedic. I never meant to insinuate that the distributor force of YTB were purposefully involved in anything illegal or untoward. It is not my intention to slander or badmouth honest people who are unfortunately working under misconceptions. However, there is plenty of factual evidence showing that the YTB corporation must make major adjustments if they are to continue doing business. And as for the founders, might I suggest you research the storied histroy of "Coach" Tomer.
I understand your reaction to my post. On numerous occasions, I've received negative claims about the company I work with. And this drove me to do some deep digging to see if any of the negative claims had any merit. Fortunately they didn't.
If for nothing else, let my commentary on YTB motivate you to take a deeper look into the company to prove me wrong. I would actually like for you to prove me wrong because that would mean that the Network Marketing industry has another success story in YTB.
However, if I am right, it is our responsibility as Networkers to expose the company for what it really is so that we may protect the good name of our profession. Bad companies give Network Marketing a bad name.
Please feel free to continue sharing your thoughts, Firemedic. I appreciate and encourage this sort of discourse.

Ronnie, here is what I find out there. There are many , many negative things said about people in YTB. Most of which are about Coach and the founders. Most of which is nothing but regurgitated things written by someone else and repeated over and over. Of the people that have written the negative posts (the thing everyone loves to bank on, just like the local evening news) none of the people writing them have ever actually met the people they are writing about.
Now, I know that might sound superficial, but just think about it. Ever seen a movie that the critics "wrote" was a terrible movie, however your experience was just the opposite? Bet you have. Bet the same has been about people you have met. I mean, you heard others badmouthing someone whom you ended up finding out they were nothing like what the others were saying.
This is exactly what is going on with YTB and especially the nasty things and ridiculous stories written about Coach. I was just with the man today and have spent time with him on several occasions. I am not an idiot and I do have the ability to make good judgment of character. Most of the stuff written about this man has been straight up crap. I find a man that is loaded with integrity and has the utmost respect of the network marketing industry. You don't need to police this man. He loves the industry and will do nothing but leave it with a better reputation in the end.
By your post you seem to be coming from a desire to be responsible for the protection of the networking industry. If that is true then I challenge you to come from responsible when you write about someone. Responsible writing will go out of their way to get the real facts from the horses mouth. I challenge you and anyone else that repeats anything that seems negative to go to the man they are writing about.
Let me ask you this. If someone was writing negative things about you, would you have wanted them to come to you first? Most would. Now the people that care only about themselves and their agendas won't.
I see lots and lots of bad information written about YTB. I see lots of attacks and false information posted by our competitors and our oppressors. What I don't see is YTB and Coach doing the same thing in return. Now if that doesn't say something about the company......
Ronnie, if you truly are looking out for the industry then do the responsible posting rather than just following the crowd in regurgitating negative information that you yourself have not truly taken the time to verify. That's integrity.
Hey Firemedic,
Sorry so long on the reply. I've just recently gotten back from a road tour.
Anyways, back to our discussion.
Again let me apologize if I painted YTB distributors in a negative light. That truly was not my intention.
However, make no mistake, I have examined YTB's comp plan and it is fundementally unsound. You cannot pay commissions on memberships (RTA's) because then distributor incomes are driven soley by recruitment without which there is little or no income generated. This is the reason YTB and other similar companies are being scrutinized by the government as pyramid schemes.
It's the fallout from these type of businesses that have helped propagate the negative stigma attached to the otherwise ingenious business model of Network Marketing. YTB isn't the first company to do this and unfortunately probably won't be the last.
And yet the only thing you've done to defend your company is to say that I'm simply "following the crowd in regurgitating negative information that [I] have not truly taken the time to verify."
I will be more than happy to admit fault only if you can present a true defense to the claims against YTB. Then maybe me and the "crowd" will leave your company alone.
